What is it like to meet with a group of women and men who have been through a Rachel’s Vineyard retreat? Joy on their faces — that is what I saw last week when our Kentucky Rachel’s Vineyard team had a little “reunion” meeting for our past retreatants. It was a small group — just eleven of us — but what a joyful meeting! It is amazing to see the healing that Our Lord Jesus can give for those who have suffered one of the deepest of all wounds, the wound of abortion. That morning, I also had a little meeting with three men who had expressed a willingness to help us to find better ways to “market” our retreat ministry — to get the word out to those who need healing. Our past retreatants and team shared with those three gentlemen, and we saw tears of joy in their eyes too.
Since there have been around 60 million surgical abortions since Roe v. Wade, and innumerable chemical abortions through the “birth control” pill, there are literally millions of American women and men who have been directly involved in abortions. And Our Lord Jesus can heal every wound, if we will only turn to Him, come to Him for forgiveness and healing.
I have seen the power of His forgiveness and healing. I see it through the Joy on their faces. Will you open your heart to His forgiveness and healing?
